Treat tuna or swordfish steaks the way you would prepare a rare steak. They should be served translucent in the middle. Think hot and fast.

Shopping List

Basic Marinade

  • 2 T. Olive oil
  • 2 T. Soy sauce
  • 1 T. Brown sugar
  • 1/4 t. Garlic powder

Cooking Instructions

1

We recommend a 6-12 hour marinade. A good basic marinade for any fish is: 2T olive oil, 2T. Soy sauce, 1T. Brown Sugar, 1/4t. Garlic powder. (for 4 fillets or steaks.)

2

Sword and tuna both lend themselves to grilling as they are firm and don’t fall apart. Heat the grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.

3

Place fish on heat, brush with additional marinade, and cook 3-4 minutes uncovered. (Close lid on gas grill.) Flip. Do not brush again. Cook 2 more minutes. Let rest 5 minutes, fish will continue cooking. ENJOY!
